Three more bodies have been retrieved from Lake Albert in Kagadi district following a nasty boat accident.
The unidentified bodies were retrieved today by fishermen and the marine police.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson says the bodies are currently lying at Kamina landing site pending identification by their relatives adding that the search for three bodies is on-going.
This brings to four, the total number of bodies retrieved from the lake following the boat accident.
Seven people perished on Lake Albert waters near Kitebere landing site in Ndaiga Sub County Kagadi district yesterday (Monday).
The accident occurred at 7 a.m when the boat loaded with about 18 people destined for Lwakengi in the Democratic Republic of Congo-RDC capsized after being hit by strong winds.
Twelve passengers were rescued by fishermen.
